The bulk of Dark Age Irish armies would have comprised of these warriors. They were armed mostly with javelins and maybe if the were wealthy or lucky enough, a short sword or knife. For protection they might have a small shield or buckler. Clothing was simple and might be nothing more than a simple small cloak for the very poor warriors. Shoes were not worn by anyone but the very noblest of society. These figures are suitable for Irish armies from the Late Roman/Arthurian period till the Early Medieval period.
